Stunning lighting on this - a recurring theme in your art! - and an interesting concept to see a unicorn without its main feature, the movement implied by the mane and tail is immense, and the pose fantastic - great work!
My, my, this looks really good! :3 The simple yet good background is really useful to emphasize the main subject, in this case, this hybrid between a horse and a unicorn The pose is dynamic and very well done x3
The answer to your question is pathetic, really. It was indecision. I wanted to paint a strong, well muscled horse (not thin and wispy looking, as unicorns are usually represented), but I wanted it to be a Unicorn, so I gave it the hooves and tail. I did not want the horn, because it unbalances the painting, and I wanted the unicorn to be any other color but white. And that's how the hybrid came to be. XD
Lol. Thanks a lot for your comment. I am glad you like this piece and the textures. I am trying to learn to use textured painting instead of a the perfect smoothness, so I am glad to hear you like the result.
Like? I love!^^ If you were aiming for textures in painting, then you hit waaaaaaaay beyond the beginning point to me.^^ Seriously, I thought that the textures look really professional. A wonderful job!
