Cell-shaded illustration of Darkstar and Myrcella from A Feast for Crows, by George R.R. Martin.I stumbled on this piece recently as I was cleaning my external hard drives. I don’t know how it slipped through, but it did, for I actually finished this piece back in January and forgot to post it. I loath posting old drawings so late (and a year old piece is OLD in my books), because I see so many flaws on them; flaws I can not see whilst working on them at the time. But… this one is an okay-ish piece, and it’s Darkstar. (o⌒．⌒o)♥ I can never resist Darkstar. So here it is.
A little announcement.
As of today, I will be signing my paintings differently. Instead of using a hand-written signature, I will be using a logo I created for myself. I will also stop using watermarking. This means, I will go back through all of my paintings online, and changed how they were signed and remove the watermark.
You can see the logo already used on the Feast for Crows illustration above, but here is a clearer shot of it: new signature logo.
Commissions are currently CLOSED.

Sadly, I thought of the same problem as well, and originally I tried integrating my name at the bottom (under the 2016 part). However, either the name turned out too small at that size, making it illegible, OR, worse, it was big enough, but it looked again like a watermark, rather than a signature. I would like to step away from watermarking my paintings. It is just ugly, and though I have tried to make the watermarks blend into the background as much as possible, I don't like looking at them.
So, all that is left, for now at least, is the hope that most people will respect me enough to credit me when reblogging/sharing my art. Another hope is that those who wish to find me will use Google Images with the possibility to upload an image. If you pop the painting into Google Image search, it will give you instantly my Deviant Art username.
Thank you again so much. I will look more into this, but at the moment it's not feasible.. not without make it look watermarked again.
Thanks a lot.
I love this piece it's gorgeous!!!!!
I am glad you like this piece, even though it's a bit old. XD
